Youth Nutrition Mentor (part-time)

Certificate course of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the University of Vienna

As important confidential counselors for adolescents, people working in the field of social integration in out-of-school youth work are frequently confronted with health-related questions, in particular with the subject of nutrition, in their daily work. Another frequent subject is the meaningful use of scarce financial resources – also in connection with purchasing and preparing food. The course imparts the fundamental concepts of a healthy diet for out-of-school youth work. By initiating and implementing specific supervised projects, the program ensures that teaching content is transferred into practice. The certificate course is designed as a part-time continuing education and training course. It takes one semester to complete and it amounts to 8 ECTS credits. Classroom training takes place in blocks.
