Duration: January 2016 – December 2018

"HE4u2" is coordinated by eucen – european university continuing education network, aiming to support institutions of Higher Education in meeting the challenges of an ever more diverse student body. A clear training need of teachers and university staff working with students from diverse backgrounds has been identified, calling for enhanced attention towards diversity in the classroom, in the design of curricula and on an institutional level. HE4u2 will develop an approach focusing on intercultural dimensions of existing curricula, CPD courses for staff, and policy recommendations.

The following activities are carried out in the project:

  • Produce a meta-analysis of best practices from relevant research and tools across Europe and survey current learners from diverse backgrounds to obtain their views
  • Develop guidelines on how to integrate inclusive pedagogy into existing curricula
  • Design and test a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course for Higher Education teachers, adaptable to a variety of institutional contexts
  • Produce a policy paper with recommendations for institutions of Higher Education and national and European policy makers
