New Master’s Program “International Disaster Management & Civil Protection” (EUMA)

Building bridges between academics, operational teams and decision-makers.

Starting October 2026, we are launching our new continuing education program “Disaster Management and Civil Protection” for the first time.

The program focuses on scientific foundations and application-oriented skills for working with risks and disasters in international contexts, building bridges between academics, operational teams and decision-makers.

All courses are taught in English and combine on-site attendance blocks at partner universities across several EU countries with additional online units.

Two study options are available:

  • Master’s Program (120 ECTS) – includes a master’s thesis and leads to a Master of Science degree, strengthening your academic profile.
  • Academic Expert Program (60 ECTS) – focuses on practical professional competences in international disaster and risk management.

Both options are designed for professionals seeking to expand their responsibilities in European and global crisis, risk, and civil protection environments.
