Conductive Education

In cooperation with the Helga Keil-Bastendorff private foundation and the Danube University Krems.

The number of people with cerebral motor, sensory and complex impairments is rising in all age groups. At the same time, the key objectives for inclusion call for adequate and activating support for people with (complex) impairments. The objective is the development of participatory processes that allow individuals to actively and consciously participate according to their individual competences and interests.

Conductive education as a complex offer adopts a holistic approach to people with impairments. Impairments are defined as barriers for learning that can be overcome by designing the learning process in a targeted and individual way. It supports the development of all parts of the personality at the same time and with equal emphasis. The certificate course provides a sound academic continuing education and training for specialists from the fields of education, rehabilitation and the social sector and builds on the participants’ individual competences.

It is aimed at persons who are currently completing an education or training as well as specialists who work with people with impairments of all age groups and would like to see the bigger picture of their profession and expand their capacity to act.
