Application and admission

The requirement for admission to this program is the successful completion of a degree program at a university or at a university of applied sciences (bachelor’s, master’s, diploma or doctoral program) as well as a high level of proficiency in German and English.  

Applicants have to submit the following documents in German or English (preferably in PDF Format) to apply for admission to the university continuing education and training program in European Studies:  

  • filled and signed registration form (in German)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letter of motivation
  • General university entrance qualification (secondary-school leaving certificate)
  • University degree (official notice); students who have not yet completed their diploma program may be admitted to the university continuing education and training program, if they expect to complete their diploma program during the first semester of the program.
  • Proof of language proficiency (in English; for applicants whose first language is not German, also in German)
  • Copy of passport or identity card 

Payment of the tuition fees for the 1st semester.

You have to make a down payment of € 200,- when you register for the postgraduate program. If you are admitted to the program, this down payment will be subtracted from the program fees for the winter semester.

Admission procedure

Applicants are admitted based on the date of their application and their qualifications.
