Executive LLM part-time

 

Students must complete a total of 24 units (60 ECTS). All courses of the Executive part-time LLM program are offered as Friday/Saturday block courses throughout the academic year. Students can complete all required courses in one academic year. Students also have the option to complete all required courses over a period of 3 or 4 semesters, which reduces the students' workload in each semester accordingly. Further, students can choose, if they prefer to start with the Executive LLM program in October or in March.

Students have to complete the following courses:

  • Introduction to EU Law: The Legal System of the European Union (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European Internal Market Law (2 units, 4 ECTS)
  • European Competition Law (2 units, 4 ECTS)
  • WTO Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European and International Corporate Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • Drafting and Negotiating Cross-border M&A Contracts (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European International Private Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • International Business Arbitration (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European and International Tax Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European Privacy and Data Protection Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European and International E-Commerce Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European and International Intellectual Property Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European Labour and Social Security Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European Consumer Law (1 unit, 2 ECTS)
  • European and International Business Law Seminar I (2 units, 4 ECTS)
  • European and International Business Law Seminar II (2 units, 4 ECTS)
  • Master Thesis Seminar (4 units, 20 ECTS)


Additional courses

Students are welcome to enroll additional courses offered by the full-time LLM program. Students can replace this way some courses of the Executive part-time LLM program with courses of the full-time LLM program. If you wish to do that, please clarify with our LLM program manager Dr. Maria Sturm (maria.sturm@univie.ac.at), which courses are replaceable.
