The one-year (60 ECTS Credits) continuing education master's program "Human Rights" of the University of Vienna has a clear jurisprudential profile. The program will provide insights to theoretical legal questions and also convey practical skills that are necessary for working in the field of human rights.

On October 25th 2023 we had the pleasure of celebrating our new graduates of the master's program “Human Rights”. The graduation of the class of 2022/23 took place in the main ceremonial hall of the University of Vienna. Click here for a look into the event.

On June 5, 2023, the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna invited a distinguished panel of experts to discuss “Climate protection as a human right”. Following a keynote by Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prof Michael Lysander Fremuth examined the topic together with Alma Zadić, Austrian Minister of Justice, attorney Michaela Krömer and others. On October 27th 2023 we had the pleasure of welcoming all the new participants of the class of 2023/24 of the master's program “Human Rights”! Academic director, Prof Michael Lysander Fremuth, opened the first of the joint sessions, of our non-lawyer and lawyer participants, with his lecture on "Definitions and Dimensions of Human Rights”.  Find further information here.
