  • Master program Clinical pharmacy

    Clinical pharmacists are involved in patient-oriented care and contribute to optimising patients’ medication, promoting their health and preventing disease. Clinical pharmacy is not equivalent to hospital pharmacy. Clinical pharmacy is rather a branch of both hospital pharmacy and pharmacy practised in community pharmacies. Therefore, it ideally encompasses all health care settings.

  • Clinical pharmacy – medication review

    The main focus of this certificate program is on type 2a medication analysis. Medication analysis is a structured analysis of a patient's overall medication. The key to medication analysis is to synthesize information from a physician's prescriptions to identify and document medication-related problems.

  • Advanced Course Pharmaceutical Quality Management

Psychotherapy

As a pioneer in Austria, the University of Vienna offers the entire psychotherapy training with an academic degree at a public university. The first step can be completed in the form of the Psychotherapeutic Propaedeutic as well as in the form of the new Bachelor "Basics of Psychotherapy". In cooperation with established training institutions, the subject-specific offer covers the four clusters of psychotherapy (psychodynamic, humanistic, systemic and behavioral therapy). In addition to the already existing advanced study in psychotherapy at the University of Vienna, further offers are under development.

  • Bachelor’s program in Basics of Psychotherapy

    The curriculum basically contains the contents of the current general introductory course in psychotherapy (Psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum) and is supplemented by seminars with an academic focus and the writing of a bachelor's paper.

    Since 1991, psychotherapists in Austria have been legally required to complete a two-stage training. The first stage is the Propedeutic Programme in Psychotherapy, followed by the Advanced Study in Psychotherapy program.
