European Studies Summer Program Option

Lake Wolfgang

Every summer, the Sommerhochschule (SHS) of the University of Vienna offers the four-week "univie: summer school for International and European Studies" in Strobl at Lake Wolfgang, which is directed by Professor Dr. Franz-Stefan Meissel. This summer program offers a series of courses in law, politics, economics, history, and cultural studies in a European and international context. Students who successfully attend and complete this European Studies Summer Program will earn University of Vienna's SHS Diploma in European Studies.

This summer program and its SHS Diploma in European Studies are recognized as an elective course for the LLM Program in European and International Business Law, connected with a value of up to 8 units (16 ECTS Credits), if students complete the whole summer program.

You will find more details about the academic program, the fees, and the application procedure on the summer program website. The review of all applications and selection will be done by University of Vienna's Sommerhochschule.

Since this summer program is an independent program, institutionally separate from the LLM program, it can also be enrolled independently from the LLM program.
